Veteran Rock Ozbone will play his latest show this summer in the context of his worsening battle with Parkinson’s disease.
The music icon has announced that it will return to the stage with his Black Savus Group in a score scored with his Black Savus Group for a return show in Villa Park in Birmingham. Some of the biggest names in heavy metal, including Metallica and Slayer, will also perform, and the concert will pay tribute to Ozzy’s incredible legacy, with proceeds going to charity.

The one-off concert on July 5th, titled “Back To The Beginning,” has been dubbed “the greatest heavy metal show ever,” and will see Ozzy play a short set before reuniting with Geezer Butler, Tony Iommi, and Bill Ward. It will be the first time the original lineup of Black Sabbath will perform together in 20 years.
He has vowed that it will be his final show due to his battle with Parkinson’s disease, which he revealed in 2020. The concert, which will also feature performances from Pantera, Gojira, Alice in Chains, Halestorm, Lamb of God, Anthrax and Mastodon, will split proceeds equally between Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorn Children’s Hospice.
Ozzy said: “It’s time to go back to my roots… it’s time to give back to where I came from.” “I’m happy to be able to do it with the help of my beloved people. Birmingham is a real metal house. Birmingham Forever.”
Rage Against the Machine musical director Tom Morello said: “This is going to be the best heavy metal show ever.”
Other stars in attendance include Anthrax’s Duff McKagan and Frank Bello, Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst and The Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan.
Disturbed’s David Draiman, Korn’s Jake E Lee and Jonathan Davis, Faith No More’s Mike Bordin will also be in attendance. Slash, Wolfgang Van Halen and Zakk Wylde complete the current line-up, with more to be added.
Tickets for the concert will go on sale from 10am GMT on Friday 14 February on LiveNation.co.uk. In 2022, Ozzi states: But I always feel young in my soul. “I am determined to return to the stage, even if I have to be nailed to a board and carried on wheels.
“Survival is my legacy.”
